Dr. Renner completed her bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Mathematics, master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at University of the Cumberlands. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Counseling and Diagnostic Center. As a Licensed Psychological Associate, she provides therapeutic services for individuals and families with a wide range of mental concerns.
She also provides assessment services for individuals seeking diagnosis and recommendations for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disability, and other issues. Dr. Renner specializes in issues related to: anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, adolescent behaviors, women’s issues, and stress management.

Mr. Noyes began his counseling career working with adults struggling with substance use disorders in 2010, in an outpatient and intensive outpatient medication assisted treatment programs. He participated in a clinical trial to investigate the efficacy of an implantable medication delivery systems at that time. Mr. Noyes went on to develop and implement a new intensive outpatient and outpatient dual diagnosis treatment program for adolescents in the northern Kentucky area that were struggling with substance use and other mental health needs. Mr. Noyes went into private practice in 2016, to be able to continue this work and serve a more diverse population.
Mr. Noyes earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling in 2013, with a concentration in alcohol and drug abuse counseling. His Master’s research project focused on the contributing factors to adolescent substance abuse and conversely the protective factors to prevent adolescents from using substances. Mr. Noyes achieved his independent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and his Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor from the state of Kentucky in 2016.

Ms. Sydney moved to Northern Kentucky in 2014 after completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Louisville. Sydney is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She specializes in various mental health struggles, including trauma, abuse/neglect, changes within the family, anxiety, depression, and hyperactivity/impulsivity. She has skills working with children and adolescents who experience gender dysphoria, low self-esteem, adolescent behavior issues, the need for crisis intervention, adjustment disorders, adoption, and grief. Sydney utilizes different therapy styles including, but not limited to, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Play Therapy, and Family Therapy. Pamela is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, independently licensed in the State of Kentucky, earning her Masters Degree at Northern Kentucky University. Her Master's research was based on childhood trauma and the healing effects of self-esteem and resilience. Pamela joined Counseling Diagnostic Center in 2021, after a background with Child Protective Services with the State of Kentucky and then in community mental health. Her passion is for strengthening self-esteem and mental wellness in children, adolescents and young adults. She uses Evidence Based practices in re to childhood trauma, academic underachievement, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, enabling clients to utilize learned strategies and skills, to achieve their treatment goals. Pamela enables the client to address all aspects of daily function, including positive peer interactions, emotional, educational, and mental and physical health, based on their strengths and learned skills from treatment. Modalities used are CBT, DBT, Solution-based, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Psychoeducation. Mindfulness techniques and self-care are stressed additionally, to achieve optimal mental wellness of the client.

Valencia Dickerson, LPCC-S, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor with more than 8 years of counseling experience. She has worked with a variety of populations and specialties, including anxiety and depression in adults and children, grief and loss in adults and children, behavioral concerns in children, and addiction and substance use disorders in both adults and adolescents.

Valencia earned her degree in Professional Counseling from Northern Kentucky University and is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each client's unique needs.

Valencia joined our practice in 2023 as a part-time clinician and has since become a valued member of our team. She has recently transitioned to a full-time role and is currently accepting new patients. Valencia offers both in-office and telehealth appointments, providing flexible options to meet the needs of individuals seeking support.

Jennifer Reynolds, LPCC, is a dedicated therapist committed to supporting individuals aged 12 and up through a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Counseling, with years of experience in both clinical and community-based settings.

Jennifer has been serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor in a non-denominational church setting since 2015. Prior to that, she held multiple roles as an LPC following her work as a Family Resource Center Coordinator in a local public school district. These diverse roles have equipped her with a broad and compassionate perspective on client care. Jennifer became independently licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in 2022, and joined Counseling and Diagnostic Center, LLC.

She specializes in Christian Counseling, while also being well-versed in other therapeutic modalities. Jennifer works with clients facing a range of challenges including grief, depression, ADHD, anxiety, anger, OCD, insecurities, life changes, communication issues, self-esteem, and self-worth. Jennifer is dedicated to creating a calm, compassionate environment where individuals can find hope and support amidst their struggles. She believes change and healing are achievable, one step, one action, and one decision at a time.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor

Rachel Smithson is a LCSW and graduated from Northern Kentucky University with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work. Rachel has been in the field serving individuals and families since 2011. Rachel started as a Targeted Case Manager and has grown her experience in working with clients in inpatient substance use treatment, foster care, school-based therapy, in home, community-based therapy and outpatient mental health services. Rachel also offers clinical supervision for Certified Social Workers (CSW) and has provided supervision for social work intern students.

Rachel has a passion for working with individuals to help them meet their greatest potential. She has a motivational outlook when it comes to working with individuals she is serving and supervising. Rachel provides services to older children, adolecents, and adults dealing with various mental health struggles, such as ADHD, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, parenting, adjustment or life transitions, etc. Rachel Utilizes CBT, Trauma focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness skills, DBT, strength-based therapy, and person-centered therapy practices.

Jayme Begley, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults as they navigate anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship challenges.
Jayme works collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans. She is trained in EMDR, her primary modality, and also incorporates CBT, DBT, and ego states work.
She specializes in helping clients manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties.
Jayme fosters a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe and comfortable exploring their goals.
Inspired by her own transformative therapy experience, Jayme pursued a career in social work to help others create meaningful change. She finds motivation in witnessing clients grow, one step at a time.
In the first session, Jayme takes time to understand each client’s concerns and goals for therapy. She encourages open dialogue and invites questions to ensure a strong, supportive connection from the start.

Ethel W. Ellis graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Master of Social Work degree and three micro-credentials: Trauma Focused Care, Gerontology, and Forensic Social Work. She has worked as a Targeted Case Manager, Success Coach and as a Recovery Service Supervisor. She has also worked at Redwood as a Direct Support Professional and Person Center Coach. Prior to her enrollment at Northern Kentucky University, she was a Medical Assistant at St. Elizabeth Physicians. She has three children and one grandchild. She enjoys reading, camping, hiking, mixed martial arts and going on adventures. She is very passionate about helping others to achieve their goals. She listens with compassion and is nonjudgmental. She believes that the client and therapist work as a team. She feels that the client knows best about their situations. Thus, encouraging client autonomy and empowerment.

Alexis Dunham LPCA, began her journey with CDC as a master's-level counseling intern while completing her graduate studies at the University of the Cumberlands. After earning her degree and obtaining her licensure, Alexis transitioned into her current role as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), where she practices under the supervision of Micah Noyes as she works toward independent licensure.

Alexis earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northern Kentucky University in 2022 and has experience as an intake coordinator at a non-profit community mental health center. She has also worked as a case manager for a therapeutic foster care agency, further strengthening her passion for supporting adolescents and teens.

Dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with her clients, Alexis strives to create a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Ashley is a Clinical Psychology Doctoral candidate at Walden University, currently completing her practicum and internship. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in General Psychology. Her career began as a state investigator in Michigan, where she discovered her passion for psychology and supporting individuals through complex challenges.

Ashley has experience working with high-needs clients, early-onset psychosis, trauma, substance use, juvenile justice, and family systems. She also works with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism and ADHD. Her approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based, incorporating CBT, DBT, and behavioral interventions to support individuals and families through meaningful change.
